Problema apos apt-get dist-upgrade

Ola pessoal.
Estou tentando instalar o Compiz Fusion num PC aqui usando esse tutorial:

Mas logo apos fazer a atualização reiniciei e o X não inicia mais:

Eu ja usei esse driver, ele funcionou no PC e eu rodei o Beryl, mas as bordas das janelas não apareciam e o foco de KDE ficava estranha, incluisve não conseguia usar nada do desktop, nem o kicker. Ai resolvi instalar o Fusion, mas apos atualizar a distro aconteceu isso, mas o drive ja usei antes e funcionou, só parou agora.
